The Watkins Campaign is Busy!

By James Watkins, on Aug 31, 2010

All my staff and so many of my volunteers have been busy creating successful events for this leg of the election season. We are motivated to kick Jay Inslee out, and we are likewise even more motivated to let the 1st District voters in on the fiscally conservative message I plan to bring to Washington, DC, on their behalf.

If you haven't had a chance to attend an event, or are eager to attend more, please check out the Events page on the website. We have an opportunity to meet Attorney General Rob McKenna...

By James Watkins, on Aug 23, 2010

I got to march in my first parade after the election on Saturday. 25 energetic volunteers joined Ashley and me in the Shoreline parade, and as always, I was encouraged by the terrific reception we received. LYNNWOOD WA—James Watkins, who has galvanized grassroots energy around the district, will face incumbent Jay Inslee in November. Inslee, who won nearly 70% of the vote in ’08, was held to 56% Tuesday.

James Watkins easily defeated another Republican and a conservative independent to challenge Inslee in the general election.

“Citizens are fed up with party-line voting, a lack of transparency, fiscal insolvency, high unemployment, and economic uncertainty,” said Watkins.

Although only about half the votes have been counted, thanks to your votes and support, it looks like I'm moving on to the general election to beat Jay Inslee! We know where we have to go, , who we have to reach, and we've only just begun to take back the 1st District.

It has been an amazing ride so far and I owe all of you my appreciation for that.  Thanks from Ashley and me for all of the support, help, and prayers over the last few months.

We’ve been working hard to lay the groundwork for a successful primary result and a top notch general campaign that will see Jay Inslee to the door.

But this primary isn’t over yet!

If you haven’t done so already...
